Short version: the tools process what you enter inside your browser and never send it to us. This site currently sets no cookies, runs no analytics and shows no advertising.

Data you enter into the tools

The tools run as JavaScript in your browser. The text, files and settings you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to us or to any third party by the tools, and we do not store them. Closing or reloading the page discards what you entered. If you use a “share link” feature, your inputs are encoded in the part of the address after the “#”; browsers do not send that part to web servers, but anyone you give the link to can read the inputs, and the link may be stored in your browser history.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not set cookies. Your browser may keep ordinary cache files of the site’s pages, which is a normal browser function.

Advertising

The site currently shows no advertising. If that changes, this policy is updated before ads are enabled.

Offline support and browser storage

So the tools keep working without a connection, the site installs a small “service worker” that saves copies of its own pages and files in your browser’s Cache Storage. This stores only the site’s public files, never what you type, and involves no tracking. You can remove it at any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser settings. The embedded view of a tool (used when another website embeds a tool in a frame) works the same way and likewise sends nothing to us.

Analytics

We do not use any analytics or tracking service. If one is added in the future, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.

Server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, the provider may automatically record technical information about each request, such as IP address, time, requested page, browser type and referring page, for security and operation. We do not combine this with other data. See the host’s own privacy documentation for retention details.

External resources

Pages load their fonts, scripts and styles from our own domain. Links in guides to external sites (for example standards documents) are governed by those sites’ own policies.

If you email us

If you contact us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to respond and to improve the site, and keep it only as long as needed. Please do not send confidential data. Email is handled by our email provider.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. The only personal data we are aware of holding is what you send us by email. Write to [email protected] to make a request.

Children

The site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will change this page when our practices change and update the date above.
